“We don’t realize that the power lies within us to make huge changes in our lives, just by adjusting our thoughts and words.  We have the innate ability to change our bodies, simply by changing our language.”

It’s no secret that stress is a killer in our society, we see it all around us. People are angry, impatient, rude, harried and definitely not so nice in traffic. But what can we do about this, I mean we can’t change the stress, that feeling that things are out of our control and are bigger than us.

So, if we can’t change the stress, I guess we just have to change our reaction to it. It’s estimated that we have 60,000 thoughts a day and that 50,000 of those are negative. We might not be able to stop unemployment and the IRS, but we can stop those thoughts. But how to do it, it’s so hard!

This is where a few simple techniques can come in handy, techniques like meditation, visualization and affirmations.

We all visualize, every time we daydream. And since our brains don’t know the difference between what we’re fantasizing about and what is really happening, we can change our physiology and reactions, by changing our daydreams.

We’ve all run a scenario over and over again in our heads until we got upset. We’ve all worried about something in the future and made it so real in our own minds we can barely face it when it does happen. So, let’s do the same thing to make changes for positive. Visualize yourself getting the promotion, healing the broken bone and activating your immune system.
